Former Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat has expressed his willingness to support President Joseph Aoun in developing a revised diplomatic strategy that protects national rights, MP Wael Abu Faour revealed.

Speaking to electronic newspaper al-Anbaa, Abu Faour disclosed that Jumblat had told President Aoun during a recent meeting in Baabda that he is ready to assist in crafting "an alternative negotiating approach that helps secure Lebanon's rights."

The initiative comes after Jumblat repeatedly voiced opposition to a framework agreement reached between Lebanon and Israel in June through direct negotiations.

The Druze leader has criticized the deal for bypassing the 1949 Armistice Agreement and risking state sovereignty.

Here’s a warlord who inherited his position when his father was killed, his father was respected among his peers, but this hashish smoking knuckle head is clinging to a 77 year old agreement, that accomplished nothing but misery to the few that are still clinging to it. The world has passed by this guy, it’s time for him to walk away.

I'd rather drown than take swimming lessons from Jumblat.

Mr. Jumblat offers President Joseph Aoun support in developing a revised diplomatic strategy that protects national rights. I hope that the first step will be to protect the national rights of the country by clearing it of the Iranian-controlled Hizballah terrorists.
