U.S. Vice President JD Vance — who participated in negotiations with Iran over the summer — has defended President Donald Trump's Iran strategy, and said the Trump administration is looking for a "final firm commitment from the Iranians that they're not going to rebuild their nuclear program."

In an interview with CBS news, Vance also said that "when this conflict is over, we are going to see gas prices come down."

He said oil is still being exported from the Middle East because of efforts by the U.S. military to allow ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.

Does he mean what, exactly: no nuclear power plants? I saw a headline about "Vance" and "vague" recently. I saw another headline today, Rubio saying Zelensky doesn't know what he's talking about in accusing the US of cutting off Starlink telemetry. Trump chose his people so that nobody, including them, would think of their replacing him. Let me put words in Trump's mouth: it's me or kablooey. The world is about ready for kablooey. The s**t has already hit the fan, it couldn't get much worse, given Trump's cowardice in carrying out his apocalyptic threats.
