Explosion wounds at least 8 people in north Israel
An unidentified explosion in northern Israel near the Lebanese border badly wounded eight people on Monday, emergency services said, with the military saying soldiers and helicopters had been dispatched to the site.
Israel's Magen David Adom said paramedics were treating "eight casualties in serious and moderate condition, as well as several additional casualties in mild condition" following the explosion, which police said occurred near the community of Neot Mordechai. Israel's Channel 12 reported that the explosion could be related to unexploded ordnance.
