Macron to meet with Salam in Paris on Tuesday

W460

French President Emmanuel Macron will on Tuesday meet with Prime Minister Nawaf Salam in Paris, the Elysee said, as a fragile 10-day truce holds between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah.

The visit highlights Macron's commitment to seeing "full and complete respect for the ceasefire in Lebanon" as well as France's support for Lebanon's "territorial integrity", the president's office said on Sunday.

The announcement of the visit came a day after France blamed Iran-backed Hezbollah for the death of a French peacekeeper in Lebanon.

Minister Salem needs to ask President Macron just one question. "When are you going to send in French Armed Forces to assist the LAF to disarm and destroy Hizballah?" If the answer is never, them Salem should tell him "then we have nothing further to discuss" and walk out of the meeting.

France will not potentially sacrifice any lives of its soldiers, by sending them to Lebanon. The Lebanese themselves must find ways to deliver themselves from the domination of Hezbollah and Iran.
