Report: US sees Lebanon sovereignty as vital for regional peace
Washington is investing in the course of “restoring Lebanon’s sovereignty” seeing as it is vital for regional peace after “the progress that has been made in Gaza and Syria,” a U.S. State Department source said.
“What has happened in the Middle East since October 2023 has turned into an unprecedented chance and the possibility of expanding the Abraham Accords is turning into an imminent reality,” the source told the Nidaa al-Watan newspaper in remarks published Tuesday.
