Report: Lebanon given a month before possible escalation

Lebanese officials have been informed of a one-month deadline for settling the arms file, a media report said.

“There is a possibility of an Israeli escalation and a broad aerial attack” if Lebanon does not comply, the report said.

“The U.S. atmosphere has become more strict toward Lebanon, which has led to the Iranian initiative toward Saudi Arabia through Hezbollah,” the report added.

It also said that U.S. envoy Morgan Ortagus, who will visit Lebanon on Sunday to take part in a meeting for the ceasefire monitoring committee, will tackle the issues of the ceasefire and the arms file with a more uncompromising tone.
