Report: Safa visited Baabda on eve of Rahal's visit to Ain el-Tineh
On the eve of the visit to Speaker Nabih Berri by President Joseph Aoun’s adviser Andre Rahal, the head of Hezbollah’s Liaison and Coordination Unit Wafiq Safa visited the Baabda Palace along with Hezbollah official Ahmad Mhanna, ad-Diyar newspaper reported on Friday.
Mhanna, who is the security aide of Hezbollah’s foreign relations officer, had taken part in the meeting that was held at Aoun’s residence prior to his election as president, the daily noted.
It added that Aoun, Safa and Mhanna held a two-hour meeting this week that tackled “the issue of the government’s decisions on arms monopolization, with the parties stressing that there is no desire to witness any clash or harm against civil peace.”
