British police on Saturday bailed a 22-year-old man who was arrested this week on suspicion of terrorism offences as he attempted to board a flight to Turkey, a well-traveled route to Syria.

The unnamed man was arrested on Wednesday at Luton airport, north of London, on suspicion of being involved in the preparation of acts to commit terrorism.

Hizbullah has sent reinforcements to several cities in Reef Damascus amid reports of a possible attack on the region by the Syrian opposition's fighters, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Saturday.

"Hizbullah continues to send reinforcements to areas in al-Qalamoun plains and to the surroundings of al-Zabadani (50 kilometers northwest of Damascus),” the Observer announced in a statement, noting that this might be part of a plan for an attack on the region by the Syrian regime's forces aided by Hizbullah.

U.N. to Vote on Improved Syria Aid Access

The United Nations Security Council is set to adopt a resolution Monday authorizing humanitarian convoys to serve millions of Syrian civilians by traveling from neighboring Turkey, Jordan and Iraq.

After weeks of negotiations, Australia, Jordan and Luxembourg drafted the text for a vote. Damascus's ally Russia, which has already used its veto on four Syria-related resolutions since the conflict began in March 2011, has no plans to do so this time.

A two-month-old baby has been rescued from under rubble in the war-battered city of Aleppo, a flashpoint in Syria's conflict and constant target of air raids, a video tweeted Friday showed.

"It's a miracle!" shouts a rescue worker as a small head is seen emerging from debris in the video posted by a rescue team working in a rebel-held area of the northern city.

U.N. Tells Europe it Must do More to Help Syria Refugees

Europe has taken in only a "minuscule" number of refugees from Syria and must do more to help the war-torn country's neighbors shoulder the burden, the U.N.'s refugee agency said Friday.

ICRC: Displaced Swell Syria Coastal Population by 50%

The population of Syria's coastal provinces, relatively untouched by the country's war, has shot up by 50 percent, sheltering one million displaced people, the International Committee of the Red Cross said Friday.

"Over a million people have arrived in Latakia and Tartus since the beginning of the conflict, swelling the local population by 50 percent," the ICRC said in a statement.

Australian Jihadist Supporter Arrested in Philippines

An Australian convert to Islam who used the Internet to urge people to join "jihad" in Iraq and Syria was arrested in the Philippines on Friday, local police said.

Robert Edward Cerantonio, 29, who also goes by the name Musa Cerantonio, was detained in the central Philippine city of Cebu and will be deported to Australia, said Superintendent Conrado Capa, the region's deputy police chief.

Syria War Toll Tops 170,000, One-Third Civilians

The death toll in Syria's three-year war has eclipsed 170,000 people, one-third of them civilians, a monitoring group said in a new toll released on Thursday.

"Ever since the first casualty of the Syrian revolution was registered on March 18, 2011 in Daraa province, the deaths of 171,509 people have been documented," said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
