State Security elements arrested a suspect with connections to the Islamic State extremist group in the northeastern border town of Arsal, the General Directorate of State Security said in a statement on Wednesday.

Israel's military fired a Patriot missile on Tuesday to bring down what it said was an Iranian-made drone operated by Hizbullah on a reconnaissance mission over the Golan Heights.
