MP Hussein al-Hajj Hassan of Hezbollah on Friday warned against betting on “the weakness of Hezbollah and the Resistance.”
“We would rather die than bow," he announced.
He added that Hezbollah is counting on Iran’s confrontation against the U.S. in the region.
“The equation of 'oil for oil' and 'bases for bases' is currently in effect in the Gulf, and we are part of it. Iran has informed Speaker Nabih Berri that Lebanon was, is, and will remain part of any agreement that the brothers, friends and allies in Iran might reach with the American enemy. What is required of us is to stand firm, remain patient and keep our heads held high," Hajj Hassan said.
He added: "The Resistance shall remain and its weapons are firm. Despite our wounds, sacrifices, and martyrs -- and the trials God has set before us -- we will remain steadfast and patient.”
“We are not weak; we sustained blows two years ago, but a blow that does not break your back only makes you stronger. We possess a powerful, capable, and potent Resistance. We have allies who remain with us -- even if some have abandoned us -- and we have a cohesive, resilient, and patient support base that remains steadfast despite its pain and wounds,” Hajj Hassan went on to say.
“Iran will not surrender, Yemen will not surrender, Lebanon will not surrender, and Palestine will not surrender -- no matter how intense the pressures or the wounds become,” he vowed.
