Iran says attacked US military targets in UAE, Kuwait, other countries in region

Iranian forces said they launched on Wednesday attacks on U.S. military targets in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain and other countries in the region.

In a statement, the Iranian army said "dozens of the army's attack drones... have targeted radar systems and the positions of U.S. forces at the Al Dhafra and Al Minhad bases in the United Arab Emirates".

It said it also targeted "radar installations and gathering points" of U.S. forces at Bahrain's Sheikh Isa Air Base.

Iran's Revolutionary Guards meanwhile said they targeted U.S. forces in Kuwait, Jordan, Bahrain and Erbil in Iraq's Kurdistan region.

The Guards said U.S. forces, including some based in Kuwait, carried out an attack that hit a wedding ceremony in Iran's southern Sirik county, killing four people and wounding dozens.

It added that Guards forces "carried out a combined missile-drone attack on the headquarters and accommodation of an American commander at Ali Al Salem base" in Kuwait, along with other attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Erbil.
