Jordan PM meets Aoun, Berri after signing 22 MoUs with Lebanon
Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan met Thursday with President Joseph Aoun at the Baabda Palace.
Hassan had arrived Wednesday in Beirut where he met with his Lebanese counterpart Nawaf Salam. The two countries signed at the Grand Serail twenty-two agreements and Memoranda of Understanding for industrial, educational, trade, media, investment, tourism, transport and energy cooperation.
In a joint statement with Salam, Hassan said the coming phase will witness increased institutional cooperation between Lebanon and Jordan.
Aoun on Thursday lauded the unified Arab stance in confronting current challenges and expressed his gratitude to Jordan for its "continuous support of Lebanon" across all sectors, particularly in supporting the Army, the presidency said in a statement.
Hassan later met with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
