Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades stressed during talks with Lebanon's ambassador to Cyprus the need to deepen relations with Lebanon at the political and economic levels as he assured continued support for the country's army, the National News Agency reported on Monday.
Anastasiades' remarks came during his talks with Youssef Sadaqa, Lebanon's ambassador to Cyprus who visited him on a farewell visit, NNA said.
Anastasiades stressed the importance of “strengthening economic and political relations between Lebanon and Cyprus.”
He also said his country would continue to support the Lebanese Army.
