Unknown assailants on Monday opened fire against a person who hails from the Jabal Mohsen neighborhood in the northern city of Tripoli.
The Arab Democratic Party identified the victim as Youssef Maroun, reported LBCI television.
It said that he was attack at al-Miatein Street in the city.
MTV identified the victim however as Syrian national Youssef Ali al-Aarfa, a Alawite.
He has since been taken to hospital for treatment.
On Thursday, Abdul Rahman Diab, a Alawite resident of Jabal Mohsen and the father of one of the suspects linked to the twin bombings at the al-Salam and al-Taqwa mosques in Tripoli, was found killed.
His murder sparked sporadic clashes in the city.
Over 22 assaults have taken place against residents of Jabal Mohsen, prompting Human Rights Watch to issue a warning over this issue.
Tripoli has been the scene of frequent deadly clashes between Alawite residents of the Jabal Mohsen district, who hail from the same religious sect as Syrian President Bashar Assad, and Sunnis in neighboring Bab al-Tabbaneh who support the Syrian rebels.
Tripoli's population is 80 percent Sunni and 11 percent Alawite -- an offshoot of Shiite Islam -- and violence between the two communities dates back to Lebanon's 1975-1990 civil war.
